Doesn't this blend of blindness and blandness want to make you do something crazy?

I've never been one for faith or hope, but I guess there's a time for everything. And I have to do it soon. Soon, before this wicked world ends. I don't have a doubt in my mind. I will see our world perish. I will see our planet die, taking all of us with her. I dream of it sometimes. It isn't pretty...not usually. Though, sometimes it ends in an explosion. Bright, beautiful. It all ends in a lustrous flash. And I see it all; I watch from above. It's just like in Superman when he flies into the sky and through the atmosphere, and he can see Earth below. Only in my version, the planet erupts into a huge burst of flame and light. It's not as horrific as it should be, And I know that if there is going to be a big explosion someday, I won't be able to watch safely from a distance. I'd be wiped out at once, before I could really appreciate the beauty of it. And that's the truly sad part.

Hey, in my defense, I'd turn into a tree-hugging hippie if it'd do any good. But it wouldn't. A. the planet is already dead, and B. no matter how hard to could try, we could not change the way we are. We operate selfishly and do everything based on convenience. A world of people like that might never change so entirely, let alone in the short amount of time that they'd need to in order to save their mother.

No, she's dead. Grieve her. She's a vegetable on life support, and humanity as a whole is slowly but surely tugging that wire out of the outlet. It'll be any day now. Any day now, her heart will just stop ticking. And then, so will ours. Until then, might I suggest making the most out your lives?
