Long as I can dream then life is worth living

Nothing Lasts Forever - Brett Dennen
stressed
Often, I feel like the child of a broken home, splitting my time between two houses: one real, one imaginary. As much as I prefer dreams to reality, I still would never want either one to gain sole custody. My sister once told me that life is all about balance, so I immediately bought tightrope shoes and a long pole. Life cuts away more of the safety net each year, yet I find myself growing bolder, more eager. Yesterday my backyard, tomorrow a circus, the day after that maybe Niagara Falls... the dull roar of waves below echo back thirty years of voices in a resounding cacophony. In the haze of water reflected off billions of tiny airborne water particles, rainbows would flood my eyes with thirty years of colors. What of danger? What of my life? Well, nothing lasts forever.
