Nymph that I was, my youth was spent crawling through the underbrush, climbing all over trees, splashing throughout the streams, or whatever else might have enticed me within the forest shade. I am less an adult of nature than I was a child of it, less a part of the wildlife, but savagery runs through my veins even still. To find the proof, you need only look into my eyes when I get stirred up and they assume a spark like some animal peering out of a forest on fire. It seems more than one blast from the past is reverberating in my mind of late, but surely you would not protest. After all, a soulmate is someone who knows the song in your heart and can sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words. And you, mister, have forgotten the words. But all is not lost; your recollection is merely impaired, and not irreparably. If you allow me, I can jog this memorable feeling of our two hearts embraced.
