There is a frivolity to this, oh I know. But there is a solemnity, too. Love letters marbled with both pleading and dismissive invitations, delivered with a zealous rhetoric that only partially takes itself seriously. I suppose my feelings should be hurt, but that noisy dark passenger has been squelched. Okay, sure, I think it should be enough for you, but I am not about to back down just because you do not see it the same way... yet. Because the day will come, and so will you, when destiny is good and ready. The day will come when it IS enough. Maybe ten years from now, maybe ten months, maybe even ten minutes. Why not? Tireless devotion, open availability and mind, patience without end, corresponding shapes like puzzle pieces from the clay, unconditional love... isn't it enough to prove today's the day?
