Loneliness is most keenly felt, yes, but it can also overcome the other four senses. It can be seen in the emptiness of a bed, heard in the echoing silence of the room, smelled in the charred remains of a burned photo, and it can be tasted in the microwave dinner for one. This is the point, the brutally bleak point of being lonely in absolutely each and every conceivable sense, that the real search for the cure begins.

And maybe you look for it on the face of a stranger, within the 360**°** of an inlaid band**,** beside the naked body of a lover, in the tenor of a friend's laughter, or at the bottom of a 12 oz. can, but the remedy proves more elusive than you were prepared for it to be. But maybe you tire of seeking it... maybe you grow sick of how the futility seems worst in a room crammed with people because, even with all those spirits surrounding you, not a single one is kindred. Then maybe you begin to doubt your quest is feasible... maybe you wonder if your time would be better spent hunting for the fountain of youth, the holy grail, a genie in a bottle, or a unicorn in the woods.
